Our Firm's founder and President, Cindy
Charleston Rosenberg, ISA CAPP, is a Certified Member of the International Society
of Appraisers (ISA). Certified Status is the highest level of credentialing ISA can bestow. As of this writing,
there are only 35 individuals in the United States and Canada have earned the distinction of ISA Certification in Fine Art. Mrs. Rosenberg
is certified the the Appraisal Foundation in the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice and is also trained
as an expert witness. Cindy utilizes over 20 years of experience in the marketplace evaluating collections
of American and European paintings and sculpture.
Prior to her Certification to
appraise fine art, she was the proprietor of The Charleston Galleries. Operating successfully for over ten years,
Ms. Rosenberg retired the Galleries in 2001 to dedicate her full time efforts to her art appraisal practice. Prominent auction houses, museums,
financial advisors, attorneys and private collectors rely confidently upon her expertise as an unbiased independent appraiser.
Her post graduate studies include studio course work at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts and The
University of the Arts, the continuing education programs at The Philadelphia Museum of Art and James A. Michener Art
Museum A. Michener Art Museum. Ms. Rosenberg is a member of many professional appraiser and art
related organizations including ISA, The Philadelphia Museum of Art, and the Philadelphia Sketch Club and the James A.
Michener Art Museum A. Michener Art Museum. She is a Business Patron member of Woodmere Art Museum Art Museum.

Cynthia J. Hale, ISA AMSpecialist
in the Appraisal of Native American Art
CYNTHIA J. HALE, ISA was born on a federal
reservation in Boulder City, Nevada where her parents owned and operated the Nava-Hopi Trading Post. Raised with
Navajo nannies early in life, she worked in her parents store, and later in Washington DC after graduation from the University
of California at Santa Barbara with a degree in History, specializing in Westward Expansion. Over the past 30 years Cindy
has worked with Native collections at several museums including The Denver Art Museum, Lori Brock Children's
Museum, Bakersfield Art Museum, Western Colorado Center for the Arts, Gilcrease Museum,Creek Council House Museum, and
The Five Civilized Tribes Museum. Building upon this museum experience, she began formal appraisals in 1989. Today,
she has performed hundreds of quality, professional appraisals for insurance, estate, donation, and liquidation purposes.
She has served as an art juror/panelist, an expert witness, and is an Accredited Appraiser with The International Society
of Appraisers.

Norman Hurst, ISA CAPP Specialist in the Appraisal of
Oceanic, African, Asian and Non-Western Art
NORMAN HURST, ISA
CAPP began a life long study of ancient and non-Western art at Harvard College where he earned his A. B. in
1967. He is a long time member of the Appraisers Association of America and the International Society of Appraisers, and has
earned the highest professional certification from both organizations. He is the Advisory Curator of Tribal Art for New Bedford
Whaling Museum in New Bedford, MA and serves on the Visiting Committee for Oceanic Art at the Peabody Essex Museum in Salem,
Massachusetts.
Norman brings more than twenty years of experience and in-depth knowledge in his
specialties, which has earned him an eminent national reputation as an consultant and appraiser to collectors of African,
Oceanic, Pre-Columbian, and Classical art and artifacts. Mr. Hurst acts as an advisor to art galleries and museums in the
United States and Canada. He is the author of an extensive repertoire of scholarly writing, articles and catalogues on non-Western
art.
Mr. Hurst is a Charter Member of the Pacific Arts Association,
a Founding Member of the Oceanic Art Visiting Committee at the Peabody Essex Museum, and a member of the Pacific Arts Association.

Although photographs taken by an appraiser for the function of an Appraisal Report create an adequate record, many
of our clients with collections of significant value chose to have their artwork professionally photographed.
Bonnie Charleston-Stevens is a formally trained photographer and artist with extensive experience photographing prominent fine
art collections with discretion and care. In addition to providing photographs for insertion into your Appraisal
Report, as a courtesy to our clients, Bonnie will also provide a high-resolution jpeg of each item photographed in
CD-ROM format, which may also be used for other purposes such as submitting an object for consideration for museum
exhibition or sale.

Paul GratzConservation Specialist:
Condition and restoration are pertinent issues in the proper valuation of fine art.
Whenever there is a question as to the originality of a work of art, our firm consults with Paul Gratz. Paul recieved
his training at The Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts. He has specialized in traditional conservation
techniques in professional restoration of paintings, works on paper and gilded objects for more than 20 years. His Conservation
Studio has provided services to museums, historical societies, universities, churches and many private collections. Gratz
